Colorful Cat-Lover Card

Hey Virtual Smooches friends, Kalyn here! It's been way too long since I've popped in on the blog and I've missed it so much! I've been busy moving and getting back into the swing of graduate school, so videos took a bit of a break. But I'm back and so excited!

Today I've got a silly and colorful card that will be perfect for any cat-lover out there! I just love the Chubby Chums set from Paper Smooches and knew I wanted to create something with it! I also used the classic Whirligigs set to create the bold polka dots.

Colorful Die Cut Feathers Card

Hi Virtual Smooches friends, Kalyn here! I hope your last official week of July is off to a great start! I can't believe this month is almost over! But I'm happy today is Monday because that means it's video posting day!

I've got a new card to share along with a step-by-step video tutorial so you can watch how it all came together! This one features the Feathers and Feathers 2 dies as well as the Group Hugs stamp set. I wanted to create something bright, artsy and whimsical with a specific color palette in mind. Check it out!

I've got another Pinterest-inspired Paper Smooches card to share with you today! I've been on such a kick with Pinterest and finding so much inspiration there that I just have to share! This card features the Squared Die, Big Vases die set, Flowers die set and the Thanks Word die - a 100% die cut card!

Awesum Dad Pie Chart Card

Hi there, Kalyn here! Today I've got a Father's Day card to share with you and a video tutorial to go with it! I've got lots of Father's Day projects that I've created using some different styles to fit the different guys in our lives. This one is for the lovable nerd, math-whiz or stats guy, featuring pie charts and the "aweSUM" sentiment.

I added some fun vellum pinked circles to give the card some dimension and interest. And you know I can't resist stamping on a patterned background. It's my favorite.

Watercolor Smooshed Mother's Day Card

Hi friends! Happy Monday to you! Hope this new week brings some happy your way and of course, time for crafting!

Today I've got a Mother's Day card and video to share with you using the super popular watercolor "smooshing" technique made famous by our own amazing Laura Bassen and the super talented Betsy Veldman. I gave this technique a try and you can see how it all came together by watching the video below!

I used 4 stamp sets to achieve the look on this card: Pretty Phrases, Word Up, Daisies & Paisleys and Calico. They're all great staple Paper Smooches sets to have in your stash.

Gold Embossed Wedding Card

Hi Virtual Smooches friends! It's Kalyn here and I'd love to wish you a happy, happy Easter! Today I've got a card to share with you that I created with the upcoming wedding and anniversary season in mind. Got to think ahead, right?

I used one of my favorite Paper Smooches sets, Lovely Thoughts and incorporated some gold embossing on vellum for an extra elegant look and feel.
